Pros: Funny, 10 minute break in the middle of class, knew history well -- I genuinely think she cared about making class kind of interesting and fun
Cons: Unorganized, inconsistent
I dropped this class because I knew it was going downhill. The first assignment she took up in class and was extremely lenient about accepting late papers. The second assignment, at the end of the class before the due date, she mentioned that it would be due on D2L. Some people missed this information, very easily done, and she would not accept the hard copies or any late D2L submissions. The test was ridiculously hard, and I studied the book and notes through many times. I don't know if that little green bar is for 1 or 0 A's, but that should say enough. If you care about your GPA, don't take her.

She was all over the place when giving notes and information over the exams. You never knew what would be on the exams. She also went over alot of information that was never in the book that she claimed was and it ended up being on the exams. I would not recommend her as a teacher to take.

Pros: fun teacher
loves to teach
always had the class laughing
Cons: tests were too hard and covered way too much material for a general req
She is an awesome professor who students can easily relate with. Our class loved being in her class every Wednesday. Her tests were just too extreme though.

Pros: There aren't any..
Cons: Unorganized
IMPOSSIBLE to contact
This was easily the worst professor I've ever had at MTSU. It was an online class but I wasn't expecting the teacher to be MIA THE ENTIRE SEMESTER. Grades were posted the second to last day of class-- including work done at the beginning of the semester. And don't even try to get in touch with her.

Pros: THE BEST TEACHER EVER.HANDS DOWN.
Cons: Nothing!
Make sure you attend class (she takes role, but is VERY understanding if you can't make it)! The lectures are always interesting and fun, but there are a lot of readings (that are posted via D2L). No textbook needed! Dr.White makes AAS/History fun, while remaining on track with lectures. She incorporates 21st Century examples to compare/contrast throughout her lectures on AA History.

Pros: nothing that I can think of, unless you want to learn about only civil rights and slavery
Cons: Very unorganized, does not present the material that is present on the exams. Does not teach from the book that is required for the course.
I honestly thought that MTSU had weeded out professors like this one. I would have dropped this course had she givin us any grades back before the final drop date. I have never been in a class where I thought that the class was going to riot. I would rather have my legs eaten off by wolves than take this class again.

Cons: No Organization, No clarity
The exams are impossible to pass. I studied for hours every day for three weeks straight. Out of a class of 30-40 students, I think like 2 passed their exams.
