Cons: Unorganized, inconsistent
I dropped this class because I knew it was going downhill. The first assignment she took up in class and was extremely lenient about accepting late papers. The second assignment, at the end of the class before the due date, she mentioned that it would be due on D2L. Some people missed this information, very easily done, and she would not accept the hard copies or any late D2L submissions. The test was ridiculously hard, and I studied the book and notes through many times. I don't know if that little green bar is for 1 or 0 A's, but that should say enough. If you care about your GPA, don't take her.
loves to teach
always had the class laughing
Cons: tests were too hard and covered way too much material for a general req
She is an awesome professor who students can easily relate with. Our class loved being in her class every Wednesday. Her tests were just too extreme though.
Cons: Unorganized
IMPOSSIBLE to contact
This was easily the worst professor I've ever had at MTSU. It was an online class but I wasn't expecting the teacher to be MIA THE ENTIRE SEMESTER. Grades were posted the second to last day of class-- including work done at the beginning of the semester. And don't even try to get in touch with her.
Cons: Nothing!
Make sure you attend class (she takes role, but is VERY understanding if you can't make it)! The lectures are always interesting and fun, but there are a lot of readings (that are posted via D2L). No textbook needed! Dr.White makes AAS/History fun, while remaining on track with lectures. She incorporates 21st Century examples to compare/contrast throughout her lectures on AA History.
Cons: Very unorganized, does not present the material that is present on the exams. Does not teach from the book that is required for the course.
I honestly thought that MTSU had weeded out professors like this one. I would have dropped this course had she givin us any grades back before the final drop date. I have never been in a class where I thought that the class was going to riot. I would rather have my legs eaten off by wolves than take this class again.
Cons: the only thing I learn was about civil rights and slavery.
Absolutely awful teacher. has no idea what she's doing. contradicts herself daily. AVOID!
The exams are impossible to pass. I studied for hours every day for three weeks straight. Out of a class of 30-40 students, I think like 2 passed their exams.
